When there is an imbalance between both aggressive and defensive factors in the body, an ulcer occurs. Ulcers are believed to occur when too a lot acid and pepsin get accumulated. These can cause sufficient damage on the stomach lining. Meanwhile, there's an additional cause constituting to the damage. When the stomach lining gets exposed even to an ordinary level of gastric acid, ulcer is said to occur. This is believed to be a peptic ulcer symptom.
